Recently, she has joined the Care About Childcare team as a trainer and as the advanced cohort leader in her area.
Marijean is the wife of 1, the mother of 1, the youngest of 7, the aunt of 25, and the great aunt of 4. In her spare time, she loves to watch her son play soccer, attend local sports games, watch NFL with her family, or just relax! She has so much passion and love for young children and feels strongly about advocating for best practices and policies. Her early childhood passion started as a young college student at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA. She attended school and worked at their amazing early childhood program. It was here she learned about the importance of play for young children’s optimal growth and development. It was her hands-on learning experience and her own personal play experiences that led her to be the educator she is today.
